Connecting clients with good developers to help create content is a challenge. The results however can be worth it.
Here's an example: I connected with Marcus King, a developer from Louisville, KY who posted on Twitter about his recent experience speaking about Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) at a User Group in Nashville, TN.
My client, SharpCrafters, builds a tool that's considered to be the best in AOP for .NET development - PostSharp. I offered, on behalf of my client,...

Tonight I enrolled in HubSpot's Inbound Marketing University. I've been going to HubSpot for over a year now and find many of their free resources, like Inbound Marketing University, valuable to marketers and business owners (definitely take a look at their free website grader).
Tonight's class, "How to Blog Effectively" by Ann Handley and Mack Collier from Marketing Profs, immediately touched on a sore spot with me. Yes, blogging is a great way to exhange information between you and your...

I was riding in a car with three friends, all of us looking forward to a day of pre-season skiing, when it came over the car radio.
The fall of the Berlin Wall.
It was November 1989, I was 18 years old and had graduated from high school earlier that year.
The four of us looked at each other in disbelief. We quickly flipped the radio dial to NPR and listened to report after report of the event. Later that night, sitting in front of the TV, we watched as East and West Germans were again...

Do you find yourself frequently disappointed with reality? Without going into a long Cartesian diatribe about what reality is, I'd like to share with you some things that I have experienced lately that have been disappointing:

Eating a Royal (Quarter-Pounder) menu meal at McDonalds
Getting my hair cut at the local salon
Wearing my newly purchased Levi 501 jeans
Seeing my friend's band play live for the first time
Drinking a Jacob's Instant Cafe Latte
    Meeting a friend...

I was listening to one of my favorite bands last week—Thin Lizzy. I’ve been a fan of their music since grade school, especially the Jailbreak and Live and Dangerous albums. There’s something about their double lead guitar harmonies and Phil Lynott’s delivery that I’ve always found irresistible.

In 1977, after a few years of filling stadiums with hits including Whiskey in the Jar, The Boys Are Back in Town, and Jailbreak, the band did something unconventional: it joined forces...

Scobleizer TV recently interviewed tech PR guru, Joshua Reynolds, and learned an interesting new trend among CEOs and CIOs. In an annual survey asking what influeces them to buy technology, more CEOs and CIOs picked digital media (non-company generated content online) and word of mouth than traditional media and industry analyists.

One of my earliest Marketing 101 memories includes learning about Theodore Levitt's groundbreaking publication of Marketing Myopia in the Harvard Business Review. In the paper, Levitt answers his own famous question: What Business are You Really In? by stating that many businesses miss out on opportunities, which were later plain to see, by having a narrow view of the marketplace and their role in it.

Can Levitt's question be applied to your products as well - What Product is Your...
